These terms cover latticetv.com and the Lattice waitlist. They’re between you and LatticeTV, LLC (“Lattice”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or joining the waitlist you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. The website
You may read, link to and share the site for personal or informational purposes. Please don’t:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or the waitlist, or use bots to submit it;
- sign up anyone else without their permission, or give false contact details;
- copy the site’s design, text or images to present them as your own, or use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
The performance figures on the site were measured on one household library and are described, with their limits, on Why Lattice. They are not a promise of the results you’ll get.
2. The waitlist
- You must be at least 13 to join (at least 16 in the EU or UK).
- Joining doesn’t guarantee a beta place, a launch date, a feature, or a price. We choose beta testers at our discretion, aiming for a mix of setups.
- Beta and paid use of Lattice will have their own terms, which you’ll see and accept before you use the software.
- We use what you give us as described in the Privacy Policy. You can leave the waitlist at any time by emailing privacy@latticetv.com.
3. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, including in the waitlist’s free-text answer, we may use them to improve Lattice without owing you anything for them. We won’t publish what you wrote in a way that identifies you without asking.
4. Your media, your responsibility
Lattice is software for organising and playing media you already own or are otherwise entitled to use. Lattice does not provide, find or acquire content, and nothing on this site encourages anyone to infringe copyright. You’re responsible for making sure your use of your own media, including any media you share with others, is lawful where you are.
5. Our trademarks and content
“Lattice” and the Lattice logo are trademarks of LatticeTV, LLC, and the site’s text, design and images are ours or used with permission. Other names belong to their owners; see the Trademark notice.
6. Other sites and services
The site links to sites and services we don’t control, such as player apps and Cloudflare. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
7. No warranty
THE SITE AND WAITLIST ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE DON’T PROMISE THE SITE WILL BE AVAILABLE, ACCURATE OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, LATTICE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE WAITLIST. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THEM IS LIMITED TO US$50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
9. Your responsibility to us
If you misuse the site in breach of these terms and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts there, except that if you’re a consumer you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes to the waitlist terms we’ll email people on the list. If one part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
12. The Lattice software and apps
This section is a placeholder. The Lattice server, the Lattice iPhone app and Lattice Monitor for Apple TV will come with their own licence agreement and terms, which you’ll accept before installing or using them. Those terms, not these, will govern the software.
